Kelpie is a personal assistant for your memory and your tasks, which you reach in a web browser. It is operated by an individual in Ontario, Canada, who will tell you who they are on request at privacy@northlightfoundry.com. These terms are the agreement between you and us, its operator, when you use it. You accept them, with our privacy policy, by ticking the box when you make your account, and we record which version you accepted and when. The privacy policy says how we handle your information.
You must be 18 or older. An account is for one person.
You sign in through Google or GitHub. Keep access to that account secure: whoever can sign in to it can sign in to Kelpie as you.
What you put into Kelpie stays yours. You allow us to store it, process it and show it back to you, only to provide the service to you. We do not use it for anything else.
Do not use Kelpie to break the law, to store anything you have no right to, to attack or overload the service, to reach anyone else's account, or to resell the service. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why when we can.
Kelpie is free today. If we offer paid plans, nothing will be charged unless you choose one and agree to its price.
We may change only these parts of the terms: what the service includes, how you sign in, the rules under "Using it fairly", and how we contact you. At least 30 days before a change takes effect, we will email you a notice that sets out the new or changed clause, the clause as it was before, and the date the change takes effect. If a change adds to what you must do, or reduces what we must do, you may refuse it and end this agreement at no cost, by deleting your account, within 30 days after it takes effect. We also update this page and its date.
We work to keep Kelpie available and your information safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in Québec or another province, this does not take away the protection of that province's mandatory consumer laws, and you may bring a claim in the courts of the province where you live. Nothing in these terms requires arbitration, or stops you from bringing or joining a class action.
